Welcome! to the Wooden Boat Association of South Australia Inc.

Our Goal--Is to share information and promote the preservation, building and the use of wooden boats; and to explore and preserve our waterways.

Members Interests are very diverse--Covering both modern and historic watercraft, they take to the water in canoes, dinghies, multi-hulls, yachts, runabouts, power-cruisers… anything that floats….. And occasionally doesn't.

Activities as diverse as our interests- We meet regularly to discuss our boat-building projects or to hear talks on various aspects of the trade. This can mean anything from a backyard barbecue with some demonstration, to a boat crawl spending a day visiting members' homes where building projects are underway.
On-the-water activities take place on a constantly expanding number of waterways.

Membership participation is the driving force of our association. It is the membership that initiates our varied activities, who contribute their stories to "crow's-nest" our bimonthly magazine, and who keep alive and varied the exchange of ideas and knowledge about wooden boating.
